Proven Energy is delighted to announce that it has formed a partnership with the prestigious Glasgow Science Centre (GSC). As part of this partnership Proven Energy has assisted in the funding of a Proven 6kw wind turbine – other funds have been provided by Glasgow City Council, The Energy Saving Trust and SUST.
The turbine, is situated beside GSC on the side of the river Clyde, watch out for it on BBC news broadcasts.
Proven Energy will be working with GSC to promote wind energy to the 400,000 who attend this venue, one of Scotland’s premier attractions, every year. An interpretive sign explaining wind turbines will also be seen by the one million people who will pass the installation each year.

Ground Source Heat Pumps
This technology makes use of renewable energy stored in the ground, providing an energy-efficient source of heating for any property. They are suitable for a wide variety of building types and are particularly appropriate for low environmental impact projects.
Energy products
Good Energy is a key partner of Proven Energy and supply 100% renewable electricity sourced from the natural energy of wind, sun or running water. This means that for every unit of electricity used by a Good Energy customer Good Energy promise to buy an equivalent unit of electricity from a renewable source and supply this to the grid. By switching to Good Energy 100% renewable electricity you really can make a difference to the future of our planet.
In addition, customers with Proven Energy turbines will be paid £0.09 per unit of electricity generated through their renewable energy device when sold to Good Energy.
An average Good Energy customer saves two tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions a year; the equivalent amount of emissions produced on a 5,000-mile journey in a petrol-fueled car. It means that you can reduce your household’s CO2 emissions by up to one third.
