The Proven 7 Small Scale Wind Turbine

Our Products

Proven Energy turbines are robust, reliable and elegant producing energy under the harshest of conditions.

Our patented Proven Flexible Blade System enables the wind turbine to generate power in light or strong winds. We produce a number of wind turbines, each designed to offer sustainable energy solutions across a wide range of industry sectors, from domestic to off-shore.

Proven Energy has many years’ experience and can help you choose the right system for your needs. We offer a complete service, from site assessment and system design to supply, installation and maintenance.

The Proven 7

The robust Proven 7 can be used to power small lighting systems in commercial premises.

The Proven 7EX is widely used on off-shore oil platforms, as it is the only turbine in the world that is totally explosion-proof.

Grants and funding for installation are widely available for consumers and businesses.

Generating electricity from a wind turbine helps to cut down CO2 emissions and reduces climate change levy charges.

Please note that this turbine has been classified as a “Transition Product” under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS).

See our Funding page for further information.

Towers

Proven Energy go to great lengths to ensure that our towers are the most cost effective and properly designed solutions for our turbine systems available. Turbines installed on towers not approved by Proven Energy will not be eligible for warranty considerations. Towers not supplied by Proven Energy will be considered for warranty approval only after documentation including proper engineering certifications has been delivered to Proven Energy engineers.

Here are the tower options available for our turbines now. Each are tapered monopole design with no guy wires. They are constructed from hot dip galvanized steel to guarantee durability. Please check back for updates coming soon including new options for taller towers!

Proven 7 - 6.5m (21ft) or 11m (35ft)

Proven 11 - 9m (30ft) or 15m (49ft)

Proven 35 - 15m (49ft), 20m (64ft), or 25m (82ft)

Wind Energy Systems

All Proven Energy turbines are available in three standard systems, which manage the use of the electricity generated.

1) Grid Connection

Electricity is fed directly into your fuse box or distribution board, providing power to your premises. Any surplus electricity produced may be exported to the grid and sold to an electricity provider, depending on local regulations. Convenience and the opportunity to sell excess electricity have made this the most popular option.

For more information on local regulations, contact us, fill in a few details and a local reseller will be in touch to answer your queries.

2) Battery Charging

Energy produced by the turbine is stored in a large battery to provide a power supply. This is most beneficial in remote locations which are not connected to the grid, or which rely on a diesel / oil generator. Installing a turbine can reduce fuel consumption by up to 95% and payback for such sites can be almost immediate. There is also a positive environmental impact when fossil fuel is not used for power generation.

3) Direct Heating

Energy produced by the turbine is directed to hot water tanks, storage heaters or under-floor heating, rather than providing electricity to feed into your power supply.

Client Testimonial

"I have been extremely impressed with the robustness of your products and engineering. I am writing therefore to acknowledge this competence and the reliability of the products, which have performed predictably under what must be some of the most extreme weather conditions experienced in the UK.

Wind gusts of 128mph were recorded in the vicinity of the turbine over this weekend - your technology has not missed a beat throughout. I am therefore a very satisfied Proven Energy customer and would willingly recommend your products and engineering competence to any potential purchaser."

George Gordon, Lancaster
