A totally encapsulated, direct-drive, permanent magnet generator ensures that maintenance is kept to a bare minimum with very few moving parts. This type of system does not require a gearbox and therefore minimises maintenance and reduces noise levels considerably.
At our factory in Stewarton, Ayrshire we manufacture all the generators in-house to ensure the highest quality control for the customer.

Tilt-up, self-supporting towers allow the turbine to be winched up into position with a hydraulic or hand winch.  This means that for installation and future annual maintenance, heavy plant equipment is not required. Although for initial installation industrial lifting equipment is useful to manoeuvre and position the tower sections and turbine head.
It is also possible to paint the towers for an additional charge. This may be a necessity if stipulated by the planning department.
The patented blade design allows the blades to bend and flex in the wind rather like the branches of a tree.
In higher winds, the blades ‘cone’ out of the wind rather than resist the force. This method of blending with natures forces rather than resisting it means that the blades last a lot longer than others on the market and allows the turbine to survive winds of up to 150mph.
